The Wii is the first console I bought since the Sega Genesis. It's really like 4 (or more) consoles in one, since it plays the Game Cube games and you can download the Virtual Console games from the SNES, Sega, etc. I've really been into Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door (from the GC) and Madden 2008, which has got a terrificly clever control scheme. Unfortunately, I can't get the EA Rugby game for my US-region Wii.

My Pops thought it would be a great idea to purchase a Tandy 1000HX from RadioShack...He bought me the game Kings Quest III made by Sierra... that game took me 3 years to solve and I skipped school many days to solve that tricky task of turning the wizard into a cat..lol...
Ive been through Intelevision(Burgertime), Atari (O,that Mazecraze) Nintendo(powerpad...lol), Sega Genisis and Playstation 1&2...Im a game junkie, so I stay away from all the new games today...not until I see the Lawnmowerman's vitual reality resurrect into society.

I gave up entirely on consoles once good versions of EA's sports games became available on PC. My preference was always for role playing games and the depth of the RPG's on the consoles has never been anywhere near what was available on the PC. So once I could get my Madden fix on the PC, there wasn't much reason to buy a PS1, etc. etc.

Ahh nostalgia. This thread has remided me of the summer I left school. I went to Cornwall with my then girlfriend and stopped at her sister's house. I spent all day every day playing Starship Command on her brother-in-law's BBC model B computer.

Looking back, Startship Command must have been the best game ever written because we were alone in the house all day and my girlfriend had the most amazing body!!!

No wonder she ditched me!

Koko, if you'd just left school, were you 16 or 18? It's just that Lauren's 16 and often alone with her boyfriend in the house all day.........you just got me thinking! Every time I go out now, I'll make sure the PS2 is plugged in the TV and in vair vair plain sight!

KH, I've told you about playing with your Wii!! It's not hygenic. I do hope you wash your hands when you've finished!

They're queuing - queueing ?? up mate. Apparently they love her no nonsense, gutsy English attitude, they think she's different to the Kiwi girls.

She's chucked him anyway. She said he treated her like a possession and she felt more like his accessory than an individual. She says she's got enough on sorting out the gamut of emotion she's dealing with at the moment having left her life behind without having to consider a bloke's immature insecurities!! (Her words) Go girl!!!

Where do you think she gets it from?
