Is it me or does the forum seem really quiet at the moment?

I know WG is in 'sunny' Wales.

Where has Dawn got to? Has she abbondoned us all now she has no show to run?Or is she sulking 'cos she has to wait until March/April for me to smuggle in some Custard powder?

Maybe WG can fetch her some back so she can have proper custard on her xmas pud.

We do seem to get lulls now and again, the same as we get reallly busy flurries, too. It usually coincides with summer holidays, Easter or Christmas, but can't think what this particular lull is down to - maybe pre-Christmas shopping?

I guess it has a bit to do with what's going on with people's immigration plans as to how busy the forum is. As many of you will know, there are stagnant patches when everyone's waiting for the next stage in the process. Perhaps everyone's drawing breath, ready for the next stage. Maybe the glue has come a bit unstuck with the demise of the weekly radio show?

What we need is something juicy and non-immigration to debate about, to carry us over to the next bout of frenzied activity on the forum. Something that includes everyone, those who are still waiting to immigrate and those who are already in NZ.

I was wondering too...but in a way the less busy days are good too as you spend only a few minutes checking on content instead of my usual post brekkie half hour. Also I have been going back over previous posts and building up little sketches of what people are like in case I meet them!!???

It is nice that we feel the same, shows that it does contribute to our lives.

As for us lot, the cases are packed and upstairs and the house is being cleaned...we have reached that strange part of " just before you go." Don't have any major doubts but wish things could be more 'concrete'. Not long to wait....

When are you off?

I have started packing boxes up ready for when we move out of the house (although not heard from the solicitors for a while) but will be moving in with FIL so nothing to get excited about yet. I'm sure March will be here in no time at all.

On Sunday; train to Paris then bus to the airport then in the sky by 10pm.... 24 hours later , Christchurch!! I don't know when or even if the excitement kicks in, it s eems to be like a strategic operation with many hours doing nothing .I would think moving house like you are keeps you busy, plus that crazy run up to Christmas, do you have a move out date??

No move date as of yet.

The girls who is buying the house contacted me this afternnon to say everything was OK with the survey so things should start moving now- hopefully be a few weeks- still got plenty to sort out.

This Sunday?That sneaked up on us quickly. I'm sure the excitment will kick in on the plane sometime or maybe when you land a realise you are actually in NZ for real.

Hope the journey goes smoothly and speak to you at the other end.

I know I should start packing the house up - or rather all the nick nacks need to be chucked!!! but I just don't seem to have the get-up-and-go. I should have 'cos the sooner I get it all cleared the sooner we can get the place sold. We plan to put the house on the market Jan/Feb so not long to get it sorted.

It is probably something to do with the fact that I will be out of action for most of December so can't get too excited. Once we submit our EOI in January though there will be no stopping us
