Thanks, Sal. I think I've got my hands full with Facebook. Don't think I could cope with anything more. There's so much on there and more coming in every day. Where will it all end, I ask myself?

There is a search box on your homepage that you can put names in and search for people who are already on facebook

Alternatively you can add new friends etc through the email addresses- can't say I have done it this way so don't know how well it works.

Ok - so say I want to add for instance, Mother Bear, but don't know her email addy - how would I go about that?!

From what I know about Facebook you either need their email or you need to kow what name they are under on facebook i.e my name on facebook is Elizabeth Brittain and you would have to put that name into the search box.

An easy and a bit of a cheating way to add friends is:

If you have a friend on your list who knows the same people as you for example I have a few of our fellow forumites on my friend list.
You can veiw my friend list- click on the people you know and want to be your friend and then click 'add as friend'.

Yes, thanks Beth, it makes sense, although I did try to find you & couldn't - all this from someone who wants to go back to her old job as a software trainer!
