"I was a bit nervous before the jump," admitted "Scary" Mary Perkins after becoming the first woman to bungy jump off the Auckland Harbour Bridge ... on a motorbike.

Despite the nerves it was "a totally awesome thrill" said the 23-year-old freestyle motocross rider, pictured left.

Perkins' stunt was a promotion for the Crusty Demons tour. Tickets went on sale yesterday for the stunt-bike show, which is starting a world tour in New Zealand.

Promotor Mike Porra said Perkins - a New Zealander and the only woman in the Crusty Demons group - was living up to the show's philosophy of "pushing the boundaries".
