I'm back! Sorry to have been gone so long ..

Not that I expected anyone to *really* notice, but I've not visited the forums since late August, not long after our EoI was selected.

I felt bad not to be here reading about how everything was going for everyone else, but the truth is I couldn't stand it. When the realization sank in that being selected did not mean my ITA was in the mail--it finally arrived today, nearly the full 3 months out from pool selection--I really got literally physically ill every time I thought about the whole process. It was like being 5 years old again and seeing the presents under the tree and knowing exactly what was in the boxes and knowing that Christmas was still a LONG, LONG way off.

I'm sorry, especially since everyone has been so helpful and supportive here. I really now have much more empathy for those who are playing the waiting game.

Anyway, it's good to be back ... and hopefully I won't need to run away again. :)

Congratulations on getting your ITA, but it's very sad that you've been suffering on your own over it. Don't be a stranger on here again, as we can try to help you through the difficult times, as well as share in the good times. That's what we're here for.

Welcome back from your hiatus, and congrats on getting your ITA. I found that the process wasn't too harrowing, except in keeping track of what needed to be done. I made a checklist for myself, even though the ITA package came with one.

Order up your police reports pronto. Ours took about three months to come back. Employment "references" also took time in some cases. I wish we had kept pay stubs, but who knew back then that we'd need them for NZIS? Fortunately we already had copies of diplomas, birth certificates and such.
