Default Al Sheepa (AlSheepa) ideas needed

www.AlSheepa.co.nz is undergoing some revamping/expansion soon, thanks to web genius Taffy bin Laidoff.

In anticipation of the relaunch I wanted to pass some ideas along to the faithful ? [smiley=icon_biggrin.gif]

First - Do you like Al Sheepa as one words or two?
Al Sheepa vs AlSheepa

Al Sheepa is more traditional in the style of Al Queda.
AlSheepa still gets the point across, and is easier to search on google.

Which do you like?

Second - Ideas for various sections of the site. Here are some I have right now. Feel free to add your own or make a comment on one.

Cooking/Recipes - Different ways to cook lamb. One recipe I have is one for when your arch enemy is over for dinner....Rack of sianide-laced Lamb

Relevant News Articles - You've probably seen them on the forum here. Take an innocent story (like the one about the US possibly invading NZ in WW1), change some words around, and viola, AlSheepa's fingerprints are all over it. Another one was about the SS having training facilities, and I changed it around to Al Sheepa.

Current events - and how they impact the sheep of NZ. This is kind of like the news articles....but the news isn't edited. It's just 'elaborated' with a little artistic freedom. (like when the guy tried to fly a small plane into the Sky Tower.....Al Sheepa 'elaborated' and said he landed in a sheep field, and scared some sheep. Fortunately none were hurt.)

Maybe I could use a different name for the above 2, other than News Articles and Current Events. Maybe something that helps to distinguish them from each other more.

Political/Legislation - Different political stuff. Could be a current proposal, or something we are initiating. Like bringing nuclear power to NZ so that the sheep aren't inconvienced by the pollution of the coal factories.

Comics - Already got the story of James bin Carman and Al Sheepa's beginnings at www.jamesthecarman.com/crime1.htm ... I can make others (but that takes a lot of time and creativity). ?

Interviews of famous people - The idea is on the www.alsheepa.co.nz site, but I haven't done anything with it yet.

Sheep Only Section which of course humans can view. Stuff that's relevant to the sheep of NZ. Biographies of different sheep dogs and their tendencies. How to keep your wool nice. How to keep the dags away. Best pranks to pull on the farmer. How to choose a mate. Tips for raising your lil sheep.....And maybe some funny rumours of what sheep in other countries have to put up with, like wolves.

Hmm, the above sounds like Cosmo or Womens Weekly....aka Trashy Womens Magazines.....Maybe we could have an online magazine called Sheepopolitan, Sheep Weekly (NZ sheep get it).

Any other ideas would be much appreciated. Even if you think it's stupid.....I've found that it helps me a lot to have others to bounce ideas off of. So let em fly.

Quick overview of Al Sheepa - We are here to protect and serve the sheep of NZ from invasion. And since NZ's defence policy is the same as the National Anthem (God Defend New Zealand), it's Al Sheepa's job to provide some help.

The sheep industry is the most important economic asset of NZ, and we want to see it continue to thrive. That's why cooking recipes make sense. We don't want sheep to live to a ripe old age....they wouldn't make any money.

A sneak peek at the Al Sheepa training grounds:

Spelling it without a space just looks like you finger-geeked. I love your ideas. It sounds like the recipes will not be serious. Too bad, or I could wrangle a couple of yummy ones from my personal chef. Mmmm, laaaamb!

Maybe the ewes could get hints on curl-enhancing (or reducing) products & techniques. 'How your fleece can get first prize at the county fair' (or the NZ equivalent of one). Hooficures, perhaps? 'Food and exercise for perfectly marbled chops'.

A LamBlog from Al Sheepa?

Good luck!

BTW, the photo of the Oxford Jail was missing when I read through your comic book.

[smiley=icon_lol.gif] A LamBlog. Brilliant. Problem is it'd take way too much time for me to do. Any volunteers?

And your other ideas are pretty nice too. ? [smiley=icon_mrgreen.gif]

Al Sheepa vs AlSheepa - good points guys. I could have 'AlSheepa' somewhere on the page in invisible type, and in the key words...just in case someone that's 'finger-geeked' searches for it that way. (hey, Selchie said it Taffy....not me . ?

Comic/Jail - ah yes, just got back up with broadband at home. I'll need to look into that, and the missing Zorb picture for Spider Man.

Recipes - not sure what direction I'm going to go yet. I could have "real" recipes with something obviously not right (i.e. cyanide), and a funny descriptor.

I'd have to have a source for my recipes, since my personal cooking portfolio involves rice/chicken, rice/fish, 2 minute noodles, and spaghetti (my secret ingredient back home was turkey rather than beef, much healthier....but not much minced turkey in Kiwiland....maybe I can find minced Kiwi? On second thought, minced lamb is more PC).

Mmm. Random food thought -

Ice Cream Surprise
2 scoops ice cream
on top of
1 piece of chocolate covered lamb on the bottom.

Or maybe go a few steps further:
Kiwiana Ice Cream Float
2 scoops Hokey Pokey
2 scoops Orange Choc
1 Kiwifruit sliced up on the top
1 piece of chocolate covered lamb on the bottom.
Pour on 1 cup of L&P

Yummmmy ? [smiley=icon_eek.gif] ?(hey, that could actually be REALLY good if you take the lamb out of it)

I've actually had an L & P Orange Choc float (I may be the only person so far), and it was quite good. Very lemon-y/orange-y and bubbly.

I also had a Ginger Beer float, which had a bit more bite to it. But I liked the L & P float more.

Why not just plain lamb ice cream? You could serve it like a popsicle, on a lamb rib. Maybe with minty sprinkles on it.

Oh, and I think using antimony rather than cyanide might be preferable. Not many medical professionals would think to look for it. So I like reading up on strange subjects. Not that I'd ever use such knowledge. I tell my OH that, but for some reason I am kept out of the kitchen.

Sorry, but I'm no blogger. I just get the ideas.

Mmm. Now that's just diabolical. [smiley=icon_twisted.gif]
