Free Audio Books Online

A friend turned me onto LibriVox.org, a free source of audio books. All books are in the public domain, and volunteers organize and read. They have a nice collection of children's stories, poetry, short stories, and miscellaneous items like the Magna Carta and the Gettysburg Address. I've already listened to loads of short stories (they have a lot of ghost stories), Treasure Island, and Pride and Prejudice. You can listen on your computer, or MP3 player (like iPod). It seems like it would be great for the flight over to NZ. I'm considering volunteering, but want to audition to myself to be sure I'm not dreadful.

Sounds like a good thing for the likes of myself. I have neck problems and can only read in the normal fashion for a few minutes at a time. In this way I wouldn't have to bend my neck and set up problems for myself. :023:
