Stevey, I think you?ve done your stint as target for all sorts of bad luck. Surely things must change for the better but, perhaps first, you have to make your peace with the Feng Shui spirits. It was just about that time that things started to go wrong for you. I hope I?ve had my 3 bad things now: Purdey having seizures, me breaking my leg and temporarily losing our holiday and the villa sale going haywire. I?ve often had it drummed into me that these things happen for a reason, so let?s hope we can both look back and see where we?d have gone wrong if these things hadn?t have happened. We have to have something positive to cling to. Perhaps you are having all this bad luck now and getting it out of the way so that, when you do get to NZ, all will be sunshine and light. Certainly hope so, you deserve it. Regarding your continual car troubles, have you considered?? [img:0b686406e3]http://www.cheesebuerger.de/images/smilie/sportlich/g055.gif[/img:0b686406e3]

Selchie, our buyers are living in the villa now (at least I assume they are, as I haven?t heard anything more). It should, hopefully, only be one week now before the sale goes through (but don?t hold me to that!!) so we let them stay in there as a gesture of goodwill. If things don?t go through that quickly, we would have to look at asking them for some rent if it?s going to be long term. I?m just terrified that they will find more things wrong now that they are actually staying in the villa and might decide it?s just not worth the hassle. On the other hand, perhaps they will get to love being in there and be happy to sort out the problems as they come along. Despite being built by a rogue Spanish company, it?s still a lovely house.

Thanks all, time will tell I guess. I have theory about my bad luck and am working on remedying that so it'll come good I'm sure.
The good news is, I had my first really good nights sleep last night with no chronic ear-ache and no excessive dribbling :icon_redface: so things must be on the mend. I can't wait to eat again, I have a string of eating out experiences lined up for a sucession of evenings once I'm better. Weighed my self last night and have lost a stone now :icon_eek: That's a good thing but unfortunately my frantic grab for food will soon put pay to that hehe.

The one (only) good thing about being sick or in pain is when it stops. The relief of getting back to normal is immense and very pleasurable. I can't wait to walk again or, at least, put some weight on my foot. I'm just not cut out for hopping on one leg and seem to be doing myself more harm than good.

Hopefully you won't be long about now, Stevey, and you'll be able to rip into all the goodies you've missed out on. Just make sure, meanwhile, that you are getting enough fluids into you, as dehydration symptoms are foul i.e. giddiness and sickness etc. I caught glandular fever or some such thing (the doc never divulged what it was and I was past caring) whilst in Jersey one year and I got very dehydrated and sick. Didn't realise until later what it was.

Keep taking the tablets :icon_wink: .
