Hi,

Just a little note in the Coffee House, instead of blurting out in someone else's thread!

It seems that although we were having major troubles with our PR on the investor visa, it looks as if we will get through. ::): I now have a letter asking if the originals of some bank statements could be sent along with our passports and migrant levy! ::):

We are so relieved, but still will not be able to completely rest until those stickers are in our passports, just in case they find something else to query.

The problem with hubby is not going to go away and we will probably continue living apart, me and the kids here in NZ and hubby in the UK at the moment where he seems to be wasting no time in living his own life. Fortunately, I am OK with the situation (almost relieved) and, although the kids are not totally aware of what is going on, they are quickly becoming used to him not being around.

Guess moving to NZ has proved to be a more life-changing experience than expected!

I'm sorry, I missed the post where you first said there were marital problems. I recall you mentioning that your hub had gone back to the UK, but thought it was just business. I'm glad that it looks like you'll be able to stay in NZ, and all goes well for you. I'll add you to my "good thoughts and prayers" roster.

Many thanks for your kind thoughts guys.

Yes Selchie, it did start with hubby going back to sort out the UK house and business, then suddenly there was a mid-life crisis with the complication of an unknown medical condition. Rather unexpectedly we are not his "world" anymore and he's found the UK more suitable than NZ. After the initial shock, I have also rather unexpectedly found I am not too perturbed ... the home seems a happier place without him!

He's coming for a visit over Christmas. Should be interesting. :icon_rolleyes:

Although it must have been a jolt, it sounds like the separation might be without too much strife. I'd hate for bitterness to flavour your new life. Although you may not reunite, I hope the time apart helps your relationship. Good wishes for the children, too.
