Shucks Andy, what a lovely post! :054: Thank you. And what a relief, as I always wait with bated breath after I?ve posted something in case someone takes exception to it and rages at me. It?s only too easy these days to upset someone without ever intending to. I?m a Libran and we?re supposed to love harmony but, I don?t know, it?s just not that easy to achieve nowadays. Before venturing into the open on here (just to help keeps the numbers up, I might add), I had only ever posted once on a forum previously and, if I did, the sky fell on me. It was an expat jobs forum and the men were bitching badly about a certain agency that had mucked them around. We, too, had similar problems with this agency and I made a light-hearted but (I thought) helpful comment. Hell?s teeth :icon_eek: icon_exclaim.gif ! A guy came at me with both barrels blazing and, I thought, ?Never again.? It really made me think twice about how people can react and so I now try to look at things from both points of view. Pity I still don?t always get it right, but I do try.

Sadly, at the moment anyway, I know very little about the immigration ins and outs to be of much help. Perhaps, when I visit in December I will have some more interesting info about NZ to pass on with a few piccies, if Taffy will show me how to post them.

Me as Taffy?s mentor?! You think he actually listens to ME? :044:

Thanks again, Andy, for your kind thoughts.

Selchie, if you ever want some pics of Oman or Qatar as an illustration of what the Middle East looks like, let me know and I'll arrange to send them over via email. Unfortunately we didn't have our nice digital camera when we were in Kuwait so our only photos of there are paper ones. Must get round to scanning them onto the PC. Who knows, we might be back in Kuwait again soon anyway if Mr. Bear gets another job there. His work schedule here is fast going down the pan, as crisis follows crisis. How can a project have so many problems?!!

I would love to see photos of the Middle East. Just please don't fuss too much; scaling down the resolution for emailing can be a bother. But if you already have them set to go... ::):

I'm with Andy regarding your friendly & helpful posts. I'm glad you came on board. Not every post needs to be about immigration. I nominate you for Den Mother - keep us kids in line. I also worry at times that someone may take offence at my writings (not intended), but folks at this forum are generally polite, considerate and friendly. Though recently there was a thread that SteveyC eliminated quickly - I still wonder what I missed there :icon_lol:.

Selchie, could you please PM me your email address so I can send the photos and also let me know how big your mailbox is? No doubt I can put photos into a PM but I haven't worked out how to do it as it seems to want a URL. My photos are on the PC in My Pictures so I don't have a URL for them. Computer technology isn't one of my fortes :smiley23: so Taffy certainly doesn't get his knowledge from me.

Regarding SteveyC, where is he lately? He disappeared when I started posting, so I only hope I haven't scared him off :icon_eek: icon_exclaim.gif .

Sorry, Selchie :icon_redface: . I was getting carried away in a plethora of cockroaches, photos and setting myself up as saviour of the UK (not!!) and I forgot my manners. Many thanks for your kind sentiments above. They are very much appreciated.

No worries, Mama Bear. Will PM you right away. Thanks!

Strange how you and SteveyC are never seen together... I recall Clark Kent had a similar situation with Superman.
