Default Is this the way in guys?

A snippet from our local newspaper, Times of Oman.

[b:ca9980187f][color=blue:ca9980187f][/color:ca9980187f] New Zealand suffering man drought, report says.

Wellington - Life is tough for New Zealand women in their thirties. There just aren't enough men to go round. There have long been more women than men in New Zealand's population, which is now around 4 million, but the problem has got worse in recent years, according to a new report by accounting firm KPMG. "There were 7.600 more women than men in this age group in 1991 but this differential has blown out to 23,800 by 2004", said report author Bernard Salt, a partner in KPMG's risk advisory services practice. It seems New Zealand's single women may be the victims of globalisation. Salt said men going overseas were more likely to stay away and marry foreign women, while New Zealand women were likely to return if they were interested in having children. "Where are they going to bring up the children, in England or America or Australia? Or do they want to be at home where they have social and family networks of support?" Salt told Radio New Zealand. "I think that might be consciously or unconsciously in women's minds", he said.[/b:ca9980187f]

Perhaps that is why they were quick in deciding our application ... we've got three boys. :icon_rolleyes: :icon_lol:

P.S. Can I be the first to say "hello" to you on this forum? :039:

Glenda, Welshgirl, many thanks for the welcome. Bet Taffy's rueing the day he told me to get posting on here. Can't shut me up now! Welshgirl, I have to commend you on owning up in public that I'm your mother-in-law :icon_biggrin: where others would have shrunk from the task.

Glenda, you might just have hit on it. I wonder how how many other applicants with sons on board have sailed through the process. Would be interesting to find out if there's a pattern there.

[b:d6f31718d8]I have the answer[/b:d6f31718d8]
Is it illegal to marry more than one woman in New Zealand :icon_lol:
If i could marry another 6 then i wouldn't have to go to work or do anything around the house so i could spend the whole time doing leisure stuff. :icon_rolleyes:
We could try and lobby the politicians if it was illegal.

MMMMnnnn, Could be a bad idea though, its bad enough being nagged by one woman let alone 7 :icon_eek: icon_exclaim.gif

Of course, if you were a Muslim, you would be entitled to up to 4 wives BUT you would have to ensure that you could provide equally for all 4 i.e. 4 houses, 4 cars and 4 lots of utility bills and other expenses :icon_eek: icon_exclaim.gif . You wouldn't have time for work, let alone leisurely pursuits, as you'd be continually running from one to another in an attempt to keep them all suitably happy. And, as you say, you would be subjected to 4 lots of nagging. Our neighbour has 2 wives and he seems happy enough, but then he's born to this cullture. He spends part of the week with wife no. 1, part with wife no. 2 and the rest with his parents.

The choice is yours :icon_biggrin:

Hey, another reason to go for this newly single guy!
Ok, so I'm in my low 40's, but I'm young at heart....
