Default Add words to the dictionery

I tried to get Taffy to post some words on my behalf as I've only been skulking around on the forum up till now, but he told me to post them myself (brute as he is) so here we are:

glubby - rounded in an ugly sort of way and is how I used to describe the old Morris Minor cars.

dottled - this isn't a made up word, but one of Scottish origins which I have picked up from my Aberdeenshire husband. It's used to describe the awful pain/numbness you get after sitting for a long time. Something those flying from the UK to NZ will surely recognise and I, for one, am certainly not looking forward to my bum being dottled.

Snoolies The moisture from a muzzle, which is made of snot and/or saliva. Our friend's dog gets snoolies on our hands when she says 'hello'. Origin: combination of snot & drool.

One ought not to try disconfecting a candy which has snoolies all over it. It would not likely be very delumptious.

My dottled behind feels like a week-old cuthbert.

My dottled behind is rather glubby and often looks like it needs disconfecting (it's my age! ) but at least it's not covered in snoolies or greeblies.

'Greeblies' - tiny bits, often dead insects, which fall into/onto things like your cup of tea/coffee or your bread and butter.

My nephs were sproglets too, though now two are full grown sprogs

Wilbur Widangey, n. Fictitious person blamed for poorly done, jury-rigged or half-@$$ed work. e.g. "Who put that crooked fence together, Wilbur Widangey?"

Wilbur, v.t. from Wilbur Widangey. e.g. "There are times when I Wilbur something Hopefully no one will notice."

Wilbur is not to be confused with Rube Goldberg, a real (dead) person who invented intricate, convoluted devices that eventually got the job done. His mousetrap comes to mind.

'Nig-nogger' - not racist as some might think. It's one of my hubster's favourite names for someone who's one blade short of a lawn.

'Hubster' - husband, if you haven't already guessed. ;)

Relatively near us in northern Califronia is a town called Boonville, in the Anderson Valley. The residents had developed a unique slang called Boontling, used partly to confound the revinuers (government agents) who were looking for bootleggers during Prohibition (alcohol was illegal in the US 1920 - 1933). Anyway, a couple of handy words they had were bright lighters for city folk, and burlappin' for having sex. The latter word originated from a couple who were caught in the act on a pile of burlap sacks in the back room of the general store. Much of Boontling was based on local characters and their activities.

Default futtock

i am fond of the word futtock.....can be used to describe a particularly frustrating person, especially good if in non-swearing company....e.g. 'blimey..he was such a futtock...' also to describe the act of dithering or 'futtocking around' generally dawdling and procrastinating!
