Yes, but how will they fit that onto a Christmas card?
Lots of hyphenations.

Everyone was very uptight this year about people wishing others "Happy Holidays" instead of Merry Christmas. I used it quite a few times, just because I wasn't sure what people were celebrating. The local McDonalds even put on their sign "Holiday Schmoliday....Merry Christmas to all!" I'm still enjoying Hanachristmakwanzacah! I'll be passed out under the tree for eight crazy nights if anyone needs me. Umojah!

I don't see your name on the list - in fact there's not one single Spongebill Roundpants on it. ::)

Nah, just inclusive fun. I don't think those in the PC or anti-PC camps have much of a sense of humor or fun. One side gets offended at off-colour remarks, and the other side gets offended when someone avoids making off-colour remarks. Bunch of party poopers, if you ask me.

At least they're generally benign to mammals, but it sure has an big EEK! factor.

This is one of the biggest beasties I've seen, next to cockroaches. Could this be the famous weta? Taffy found it in the garage, just as we were about to leave for the airport. Just look at the antennae on the thing!

And what about this visitor to our NZ home? I'm assuming it's a stick insect and a stick is just what I thought it was when I tried to dust it down off the ceiling of our porch. Very convincing disguise when it's insitu.

Yes, looks like you found a weta ... though not one of the really scary ones. :icon_biggrin:

Isn't that stick insect so cute?

We are being deafened every day by cicadas and at night by crickets. Absolutely love it! Relatives ringing here can hear them clearly and think it sounds so exotic.

Isn't that stick insect so cute? Hmmm. I didn't find him so cute when I was trying to 'dust' him off our porch ceiling and he suddenly started moving. I truely thought he was just a little bit of branch.

Even managed to see my first cicada, as we just have crickets here (I think). Similar sound but not quite the same.
