I need help

Hi my name is Trevor..
My wife just recieved her job offer in nz as pharmacy technician that is also one of the shortage occupations in nz
We need to make some dicisions but need sum help.. As you all know immigrating can cost a lot of money so i need some advice to the following.........
We currently staying in the UK both South Africans my wife got the a job offer and accepted it ,just waiting for all the paper work.
Weve got a consultant in Nz that is helping us but in the meantime we need to get started here..paper work on our side is more or less done we need to go for our medicals this week but it is so expensive up here in the UK. Do you think because she accepted the job offer we can go and do all the work visas and medicals over in NZ ,will it speed up the process or stay here untill everything is approved...just need some advice we cant wait to get there time is already an issue because they want her to start in November and its already mid September and we've not send any papers away yet the consultant reckon because shes going to work in a hospital it will speed up the process as well ... please help us in this sticky sittuation
