Boiler still leaking. Engineer called out again!!!! S*** law means that it stops leaking before he arrives. He can see where the water has been and thinks he knows the bit that needs replacing - REPLACING??? The boiler is 2 months old!!!
He needs to order the part and will make another appointment to install it.
We are just getting used to things not working properly now that it is nothing new. The toilet has now sprung a leak and OH insists on trying to seal it himself - he knows absolutely nothing about plumbing so we may end up divorcing before we leave the UK

Just take out the boiler and hope the buyers don't notice. What a royal pain in the keester. If the hubster insists on fixing the toilet, tell him to NOT do it on Friday or the weekend. You don't want to pay extra for the plumber when he comes to fix the fix. Good luck!

Seems the toilet has stopped leaking (or at least doesn't leak as much!!) Called the boiler people on Monday to find out when they were coming to replace the 'faulty' part and guess what - they had no record of a part being requested or ordered
. Finally got it booked for this Wednesday. The final straw (although I don't think there will be a final straw until we leave this house) came today. I had settled to do a weeks worth of ironing - for 5 people that is no mean feat - only for the iron to stop working. I changed the fuse 3 times and still nothing. So I have a half finished pile of ironing - including my uniforms for work next week and no iron. Hopefully MIL will lend me hers until I can get to the shops tomorrow. Just glad we aren't flying this week, the way my luck is we would crash and end up on the island from Lost!!! |

Have you had your allocation of 3 things going wrong now or are you onto the next 3? Hope you have a turn in your luck soon. I recommend a change of country. ![]() |
