After the joy of submitting our ITA things went from bad to worse. First the credit card company called me on Monday to tell me they were checking our transactions for fraudulent ones and that they had stopped a payment to NZIS. Needless to say I went a little bit mad. Thankfully NZIS did attempt to take payment again and this time it went through. Then Tuesday - as most who have read the forum will know - we took our dog to the vets who diagnosed a growth in his abdomen. He was booked in for surgery...

At last we have been able to submit our ITA with signed off medicals. What a great feeling - now the nail biting starts.

Gary has now gone to his new home - a few tears were shed but Gary has come to terms with it Still a long way to go but each day brings us a bit nearer.

It seems our boiler saga is not going to go away. Just 2 weeks after having our new boiler installed I have had to call the engineer out. It has gradually become noisier to the point...

We finally have hot water & heating after 4 weeks without. During this time we had two lots of snow and many nights when it was at or below freezing. It seems so strange to be able to turn the tap on and have hot water coming out. Mind you it was a bit of a rush. They arrived at 7.45 and set to work. I hadn't even had chance to do the washing up They were here all morning so I couldn't get into the kitchen. A whole morning without a cup of coffee They left just after 1.30...

Well, it looks as if we may have our boiler by Thursday. They have promised to come and install it on Thursday morning. Luckily I have the day off work - unfortunately it is because I have a wedding to go to in the afternoon. However they have assured me they will be finished by 1pm not quite sure if I believe them though. It will be 4 weeks to the day since we last had hot, running water. Can't wait

Three weeks ago our boiler stoped working. After 5 days an engineer finally came to look at it and told us we needed a new one. As we had a service cover on it the insurance company agreed to pay for a replacement boiler. However the company employed to arrange it then wasted a whole week trying to contact another company to 'survey' the boiler and install a new one. The problem being that this company they were trying to contact did not cover our area So we had to start from square...
