Not to worry you, but we submitted our ITA in Nov 2007, got allocated a case officer approx March 2008, and had our PRs May 2008.

Are you both in the UK? As different offices have different timescales?

As for the NZIS interviews, it's really for them to get a taste of whether you'd fit in;
What research you've done, how you intend to find employment, friends etc,
Will you have family or friends already over there. Do you intend to biu property / rent. How you intend to integrate.

There is a sticky somewhere I believe of typical questions.

Hope that helps - and I think perhaps you should be nudging NZIS as you have both been waiting ages!! (But then, I am impatient!!)
