Hello there

I'm new to this forum (my introduction is on the 'new members' page). I had to comment on this topic as I am in my second year of wearing braces. I'm 25so a bit older than the average metalmouth but I'm told it'll all be worth it.

Thankfuly, my dad is helping me pay for the work although I'm insisting on paying him for at least half of it when I can.

In addition to the braces, I'm also having jaw surgery in November which is costing well into the five figure range

Interestingly enough, I had NHS braces on when I was the 'normal' age (i.e. early teens) but the ortho did such a bad job that I've had to go through it all again. So, perhaps it is just better to shell out (if you can) and pay for the NZ treatment? lol

By the way, I am having my treatment done by Max & Beresford in Auckland and he is excellent- an absolute genius. Lumino The Dentists also offer very good orthodontic services :)
