Well, have just used moneycorp to transfer our initial funds .. £15k
We've gotten a reasonable rate - a little over 2.6%, all for a £15 fee. All explained in simple terms, and the money should be in our NZ bank account within 2 weeks.
Just got to decide what to do with our "house" funds now ...
