Just when you thought it was safely put to bed, I'm resurrecting this briefly to announce that all went well during the T tube removal. I must have been knocked out for a short while although, once again, I had no sensation of having 'left the room'. The doc was sitting beside me in line with my tube and busy doing stuff. He then asked me if I was happy now. I didn't quite understand why he was asking but took a chance and asked him if the tube was out, which it was. I truly don't even remember going to sleep or waking up. I thought I was awake all the time and waiting for him to start. It's really weird this anaesthetic lark, but who am I to complain? It was brilliant.

some still shots taken from the video for those who are medically inclined. I tried to keep the lurid ones to a minimum to spare the squeamish and I promise there's no bikini in sight

The shots outside my body were taken when the camera was pulled out of me several times and I did some sneaky tweaking to acquire shots that aren't seen on the film because the operating theatre was mainly in darkness or the camera was moving too quickly for the human eye to catch what was going on.
I have to take my hat off to the doc and his team for doing a great job against all odds. It really was a difficult operation for him under the circumstances, but he did me proud and restored me to good health in spite of everything.
