Default Can i run this past you all

Hubby wants to teach in NZ

So..... would i be right in saying

That husband fills in forms and applies to teaching council....(assuming all ok)
we then come to NZ on a visitors visa.

Husband then looks for jobs once job obtained he applies for working visa

When he is in the job we then apply for permanent residency?

Have i got this right?

theory based on that its easier for him to get a job there as apposed to here

I'm hoping i have this right but please correct me if I'm wrong
