I am in Paraparam. It is about an hour from wellington on a good day. You can take the train down. The drive will eat you up gas wise and then there is parking. Many people here take the train down to the city. It is not so bad.

Lifestyle is the big thing here. You are out of the big city up here and the weather is nicer. Lots of shopping and everything else so you really don't need to go in to the city very much.

Petrol isn't cheap and will only go up so keep that in mind.
