Yes we are in Wellington- been here almost 8 weeks and have just moved into a rental in Camborne/Plimmerton area (probabaly half way between Param and Welli)

Paraparaumu looks lovely and property is a bit cheaper out there as the Kiwis don't like to commute so far- there are a couple of newer members on here living out that way who could give you better infor on the area.

Wellington does seem the better place for IT (what part of IT?) and seems to be plenty of jobs floating around at the moment. If you want to contatc any recruitment agencies when you arrive- Beyond Reruitment have been very helpful with my OH and Duncan and Ryan are also suppposed to be pretty good.
