Do you have an area in mind or just go where the work is?Some people do go back home cos things don't work out as planned but if you are open minded and adaptable then all should be OK. And i think IT is a pretty 'safe' carreer as it is in demand here- like you said- even if you take a job that isn't exactly what you wnat to get your foot in the door so to speak- you can search for other jobs once you got vias sorted etc.
Hi ebianca,

My girls are now 7 and 9. So they are both at school. They are good kids and do well at school, so i suppose a month or so away from school wouldnt do too much damage to their education.

We were looking at wellington as most of the IT jobs are there. I have been looking at houses in Paraparaumu which is a wee bit outside the centre of wellingtom , but the houses there are nice

We are also looking at Christchurch and Auckland, and their surrounding areas. I really liked the look of Tauranga, but due to the types of jobs we have i think we would struggle a little to find work.

Yeah, i really would take ANY job in any area, like you say, i think we have to go wherever we find work, and take it from there.

So where in wellington are you??
