Hi lmsee,

I don't think it will be much of an issue. My experiences only relate to volunteering stuff though, not the general public. But from my impressions things should be fine....and I highly doubt she'd get harassed.

It seems there are support networks out there. I've done some volunteering (in Welly) with Sailability, where we help those with disabilities to learn to sail (or if they know how, just go out and enjoy it).

I've also worked with RDA (Riding for the Disabled) in Upper Hutt. Some of our sailers are riders there.

I'll send you a PM with the numbers. I'm not sure if you'll be in Welly or not, but they could help ya get in touch with other agencies. yellowpages.co.nz is also a good resource :-)
