This is hubster. He sifts through his mail and sorts it all out into neat piles and leaves it there. I come along and scoop it all into one pile much to his displeasure. He can't see why I don't want paper scattered all over the various surfaces so I tell him it's because I find it difficult to dust around it and there's a LOT of dust in Oman.

Another peeve is hawking i.e. making gathering noises in the back of the throat and spitting out phlegm or other gunge from one's tubes. Hubster has a thing about hawking and does it automatically and very noisily every time he approaches the toilet. In the hotter weather he does it a lot of the time because I guess the air is drier and there's more dust around. I was worried because he was doing it so much that it had become a habit with him rather than a necessity but, during the winter, I noticed he didn't do it so much so I presume he feels he really does need to clear out. Let's hope it's just a Middle East thing and he won't do it so much when we leave.
