Maybe something to it....
I really think it has a lot to do with how "open" you are when you have a reading.
Here's something spooky - I came across this thread and I am heading out to a psychic fair shortly and will probably have a reading done!
I always see the woman who told me a year ago that I would meet someone who would "make my heart happy". It was to be in the late winter. I joked with my friends that he better show up soon, since the first day of spring was coming up. Well, I meet a very sweet kiwi a week later, and he has indeed, made my heart very happy!
I saw another psychic and this was when my husband (at the time) and I were not getting along and divorce was looming. She asked me if things were missing in the house, things that belonged to my husband. In fact, that morning, he accused me of taking a very nice pen he had been given and always carried with him because he liked it so much. (Not that he might ever misplace something - far easier to think I took it for some reason.) Anyhow - she said that was my dad doing it! He was not happy with my husband.
Six months ago she told me I have "beautiful, multicolored wings" and I was just starting to use them. I hope to be flapping my way to New Zealand soon!
I had a palm reader tell me I was pregnant before I even had an idea I was.
I also have a guardian angel, and I've been told her name is Ada. She saved me twice. Years ago, I was doing home care, and I was running a little late for my next appointment. I was on my way to my next patient's home, and was stopped at a traffic light that was at the bottom of a hill. I was going to turn left, and I had a green arrow to turn left, traffic coming toward me had a red light. I stepped on the gas, and nothing happened. As I was thinking, "Oh, great, now what?!" a big car came over the hill. Two women were in the car, and I could, in that instant, see they were talking. The driver never even slowed down for the red light! Had I been in the midst of the turn in my little car, I would have been hit broadside and perhaps, killed. After they passed, I turned left - no problem with the car. (Remember, I am in the states, so turning left is turning across in front of traffic.)
The second time, I was working in Barrow, Alaska, in a tiny hospital. I was taking care of a new mom and baby. The baby had had a low blood sugar at birth, so I was checking him pretty frequently and trying to get him to take some formula now and then. He wasn't nursing well, and the mother had a fairly long, rather difficult labor so she was exhausted. Mom was asleep and I went in to check the baby. He was very sleepy and I couldn't get him to take much. I checked his blood sugar, and the monitor said it was 25, which is very low. I immediately got another nurse to help me out , and one of the docs came over - we got an IV going with some dextrose and got him juiced up a bit. But just before we started the IV, the other nurse said, "Let's check his blood sugar again, just to be on the safe side." This time it was 60! The machine had not malfunctioned and I have done thousands of blood sugars, so I don't think made a mistake. I truly think this baby was headed for trouble and "someone" wanted me to help this baby before he crashed. Even with him on the dextrose, we had trouble keeping his sugar up after that. The nearest hospital was a four hour flight away in Anchorage, so had this baby really gotten into trouble, it could have been a disaster. The good news is, after a couple of days, he smoothed out and was doing fine off the IV and was a little chow-hound!
