I certainly am here and it's now raining!!!!!

Just taking everything in at the moment.
We've been for a couple of drives around various parts of Welli in our new car (Neil loves it). Went on the dodgiest windiest road ever on Friday coming down from Waikane down to Hutt. (pics on facebook already). Yesterday we had a bit of a drive around Welli itself and a trip up to the Mall in Porirua.
Neil had his first night out last night- the one person he nows invited him to meet some of his mates so off he went, i stayed in with a big bar of chocolate and a movie.

So what have we seen: a fair bit of Welli but only from the main roads- guess w eneed to start exploring areas we might live in. We've seen the sunshine and now the rain but still everything looks fantastic even in the clouds and rain.
What have we heard: lot's of strange accents which remind us where we actually are. We have heard peace and quiet- Tawa seems very quiet. The flat we are in is in quite a private little spot so get the birds (and crickets).
What have we smelt: well as I said to Neil when we walked out of the terminal in Auckland- the air smells 'Green', it all seems so fresh and don't want to Jinx things but pretty sure I haven't seen Neil use his blue asthma inhaler since we arrived.

As for reaching our goal MB- we still got a way to go- Neil has to find a job otherwise we will be heading back home in September. I guess when he has secured a job and our applications or in for PR and we start looking for a house then we will be getting somewhere. With so much to do I have to keep my feet firmly on the ground (for now anyway) but so far so good and no regrets.!!!!!
