I don't think it's our fault MB. This forum is not 'particularly bad' at anything, in fact I think it's particularly good at most things. These 'get togethers' could be the most well organised in the world but they won't work if no one turns up. It takes committment from everyone to make something successful not just good intentions. And just because we chat occasionally on a forum and have a minimal shared history does not mean that we would bond at all.
I think there will always be those of us who are more keen to meet up than others. It's just the way of things. I agree it would be nice if people were supportive to others in their area but sometimes after you've met someone once you're quite sure you don't want to meet them again and that just can't be helped - I mean, look how Taf and WG's life is in tatters after meeting us
It's my 40th birthday next year and I will be throwing a mammoth party so there's a perfect excuse to come mingle. Get organising yourselves a long weekend now you SI bunch, or I'll be down to get you
