Well we are now in Kiwi land.
Landed in Welli at 9:30 this morning- only 31 hours after we left Heathrow!!!!!
Flight (s) went well. The girls did really well, Air NZ were very helpful and the food was good too. Got through all check-ins and customs etc pretty smoothly (and no fines
).
First impressions: haven't had chance too see much really. Got a bit of a tour of Welli city courtesy of shuttle bus, seemed fairly busy. Tawa is very quiet (so far). The rental is very basic but will do us until we find a house somewhere. Managed to unpack all 8 suitcases plus handluggage bags and a walk to the supermarket for essentials for the next couple of days.
Oh and it's really hot!!!! We left the UK in snow and get off the plane to this- as if we weren't hot enough humping 8 cases and hand luggage cases and 2 kids complete with car seats.
Anyway can't think of much else to write at the moment- god knows what time I have been up since and trying to stay up until propor bedtime!
