Before we went to NZ for our look / see trip last August we took out family travel insurance for less than ?55.00 for the year! 
This could be used for multiple trips to most places. Seemed really reasonable and appeared to provide excellent cover.
I will find the details out for you if you are interested?
Can't see any reason why you couldn't use same policy whilst you are on VV.
