This whole uniform thing has been a bit of a shock to our system. The funny thing is our public elementary school in Texas had uniforms, which is kind of unusual, so we should have been prepared. But those uniforms consisted of a logo t-shirt or collared shirt with khaki shorts. So, really all you had to do was buy a few shirts or get hold of some hand me downs and you were OK. Shorts from Target or Academy would do in all their variety of styles.

Here both the Primary and Intermediate have an extensive list, and you have to go to about 4 different places to get the needed items. Part of the difference is that there is more winter wear, so there are vests, sweatshirts, polar fleece and such. Part of the difference is also that here you have a separate gym uniform, so that's another short/shirt combo. And then I was surprised by the shoe requirement, black or brown leather, no tennies.

So we've been buying up quite a bit of merchandise (for us). And the hats, don't forget the hats. With more time I'm sure we could have made out better with the buy/sell and picking up some second hand items, and we did not buy up stuff for winter yet. But as school starts TOMORROW, we had to get moving, and I'm still not sure we've got it all right.
