Sorry to hear you had such a poor day Al. We've been a few times and always enjoyed it..... sort of.
It's definately not suitable for 2 year olds and I'm always surprised they don't have a sign advising that fact. Did you do the Haaglund ride? That's the best bit, but you do have to pay extra and it would be scary for toddlers. The close-up penguin experience is also quite good, but again it costs extra.
We arrived right in front of two coach loads of Japanese tourists and it was horrible. The snow room was a nightmare - I wouldn't be exagerating if I said it felt like football stadium disaster waiting to happen. I complained and they gave us a voucher to come back later.
