Just had an email from NZIS .... and it looks as thought their new rule change means I didn't have to get my degree assessed.
If only they'd made ALL the details known sooner as it's too late now! ?250 for nowt! Am spitting feathers
Dear Applicant,
Due to recent changes in the skilled migrant policy your Invitation to Apply may have been affected.
If you claimed bonus points for your qualification and work experience being in an area of absolute skills shortage then you would have been asked to supply an assessment from the New Zealand Qualifications Authority ("NZQA") assessing your qualification at Level 7 or higher with a major in computer science, information science or information technology.
Due to these recent changes it some cases it is no longer necessary to obtain this NZQA assessment.
If your qualification meets the following requirements then you may be able to submit your application without the NZQA assessment:
A) Your qualification is on the List of Recognised Qualifications; and
B) Your full academic transcript clearly shows that your MAJOR was one of the subjects listed above.
The List of Recognised Qualifications can be viewed on our website:
http://www.immigration.govt.nz/migra...killedmigrant/
If you are unsure as to whether you meet these requirements please email your full academic transcripts along with your EOI reference number and we will advise you accordingly.
Kind regards,
Skilled Migrant Team
London Branch
