Oh and I didn't mention that I have not seen the last of INZ - our son's passport went through the washing machine in his pants pocket. It was frayed at the edges but perfectly intact. We got an email from INZ that we would have to get a new one because the embedded chip was likely damaged, or maybe they tested it, I don't know.
So the fire drill of the day will be to do an expedited passport and turn it around back to INZ for stamping.
I also didn't know Ace about having to get temporary restrictions lifted after 3 months, getting work, etc. You see my 4 weeks off is already fading, fading.....
