I had a similar situation a year or so ago. I broached the subject of emmigrating to NZ with the OH. At that time his response was..... "I couldn't leave my parents, they are getting on, " etc, etc.
Since then he has become more disallusioned with this country and in February of this year he said...
"You know what we spoke about before........ lets look into it!
His only condition was that he wanted to visit to make sure first
- (where-as me being a typical Aries and totally fed up would have just done it)!!
We booked flights and visited in August without the kids (thanx mum!) and he totally fell in love with the place:
Your OH sounds very much like mine......... he goes out for a drink every Sunday with his dad also and although there has been alot of pressure from the outlaws (even to the point of tugging at our 13 year old daughters heartstrings!)
he has risen above this!
I think he has also realised nothing ventured, nothing gained and if it doesn't work out we can always come back!
Hopefully with a bit of time your OH will change his mind.
