I can understand the feelings when you have lived in a house for so many years.

However I don't feel that way. I have lived in this house for over 5 years and got married and had our kids whilst living here but to me it has never really been my home. My OH had it before we met so to me it has always been his.

I am looking forward to choosing OUR first home together and having a say in the size and garden etc instead of getting what i'm given so to speak.

Yes there are some great memories here but after all they are in your head and not in the house- they can all be taken with you.
