Default Wireless Broadband

How common is it in NZ? Having had it for a couple of years now, we're quite partial to it. As our "wireless box" was supplied by our provider, Orange (ex Wanadoo), it will only work on their network.

I wonder whether we should buy the wireless router/network thingy (you can see how clued up I am!) here as its probably cheaper or do we pay the extra in NZ but at least get something that's guaranteed to work?

Any ideas?

Thanks
Sal
