We need all the daft posts we can get on here with us being in the doldrums at the moment.
Another thought, if you want to look online - try
NZ Yellow Pages , type in Furniture but leave the 'Where' box empty. That'll just bring up a load of anything to do with furniture but, if you pick out the obvious furniture shops and click on them, some of them might have websites.
This isn't intended to panic anyone, but very occasionally some shipments, somehow, become exposed to damp on the long voyage down to NZ and can become contaminated with mildew. If you aren't buying a new sofa in the UK, at least it's one thing less to worry about.
