Well I settled down for the interview last night. I had all my notes on the treaty of Waitangi, Code of conduct for NZ nurses and as much info as I could find on Christchurch and CDHB (my trusty laptop was by my side). It was difficult to hear them clearly as they were on speaker phone but things got off well. The usual 'tell us about yourself' style questions. Just glad it was not on video - my arms were everywhere.

It was quite an informal interview - some clinical questions and 'what would you do if...' scenarios. Not one question on the Treaty of Waitangi just a few about different cultures. All my swatting was in vane.
They said they would let me know by the end of the week. I came downstairs feeling very pleased with myself.
Well, this morning I get a call from the agency who set up the interview asking the standard 'how do you think it went etc...' line of chat when she said that they were very pleased with me and wanted to offer me a job and that it would be held open until we arrive next September.

To say I was gobsmacked

was an understatement.
Now OH will have to say yes and we can finally start putting our plans into action. I am just sooo pleased words fail me
