You got me there. I thought there was only the Long Term Skills Shortage List (LTSSL) and the Immediate Skills Shortage List (ISSL). The ISSL doesn't necessarily help you gain PR, from what I can gather. I thought, if you were on the LTSSL you were up there with the chosen few. And it does say at the top of one of the lists containing the hairdressing skill
Appendix 11 - List of Occupations which may be considered skilled employment under SM7.10.1(b) of the Skilled Migrant Category Dawn said they told Gary it wasn't skilled.
Jeez, why can't they simplify things instead of making it so convoluted and confusing

? It's no wonder I don't know what I'm on about half the time. At my age I haven't got that many decent brain cells still functioning, so they should take that into consideration when they make their rules and regulations.
