Of course, as anyone who has ever shopped there knows, Ikea is Swedish for "Out of Stock."
I love the place, but whenever I've been there, I spend hours figuring out what I could buy instead of what I intended to buy.
I agree with you, Nolasmom, shopping for home furnishings in Chch can be a little frustrating. Have you been out to the furniture shop out at Tower Junction? Not the one next to Toy World, but the one next to the place that sells grills and outdoor furniture--sorry that I can't remember any of the names! I was only in there briefly, but it seems to have some nice contemporary items that aren't as expensive as that place that shares the same building as Harvey Norman on Moorehouse.
