I think Timaru is a city, and there's only about 10 people living there I'm sure!
You have to go there if you open an account from the UK because they send the cards and chequebooks there etc. If they'd have asked advice (they are not members of this forum
) I would have said to get them to send it all to Hamilton.
There's some shopping centres in Hamilton, The Base being the biggest. There's heaps of things there, Dress Smart, No1 Shoes, Baby City, Postie +, Arbuckles, DSE, Rebel Sport, Noel Leeming, Bond and Bond, Whitcoulls, Briscoes and some other places. Rush hour traffic in Htown means being stuck behind 5 cars at the lights, or being slowed slightly by an old person.
As you say, some people are born for the city lifestyle. I was born to remain in bed as long as possible in the mornings
