Since my daughter was 13 my OH has been telling her to make sure she puts her 'vest' on before going out  . For a while she took him seriously. Even now she is careful what clothes she buys 'cos her dad may not approve.
Thankfully she is a very mature 17 (nearly 18) year old. It must something with Fathers and daughters - OH does not nag the boys as much if they go out as he does Jenni (daughter). Yet she is more sensible
