Dawn is on a distinguished road
Default Yes, actually do have something else to say

Yes it's me, the free thinking, tree hugging, hippie-branded, world peace advocate. I've been kicking about on here for some time now, so a proper introduction is called for I think!

1. I am not a hippie.
2. I have been known to hug trees but not as a matter of course
3. I have never ever smoked any illegal substances
4. I have never ever actually smoked anything
5. I don't live in a tent
6. I don't wear sandals
7. I don't wear long crinkly dresses
8. I do believe that everyone is born equal and that everyone deserves to be given the same chances
9. I believe in myself
10. I take myself too seriously sometimes
11. I love music, singing, dancing, theatre, red wine, books, poetry, Shakespeare, sitting and watching, Buddhism, meeting new peeps, writing, kids, horses, dogs, baby animals especially ducklings, a challenge, picnics, the ocean, snuggly cushions, my guitar, soft blankets, manatees, sunshine, honesty, poppys, trees, wilderness, trying new things, caramel, fresh bread, my mummy, my babies, my Gary

I live with Gary. I am 38 in a few weeks (25th June) Gary is 36. He is my soulmate and I adore him. I have three children. Lauren is 16 and has just left school. She is into performing arts like me and wants to make a career of it. she likes going to local gigs and chilling with her friends. She is very cool and a very, very good girl as far as I know. Charlie is 11 and he hates school. He loves football and athletics, likes participating in any sport really. Likes fishing and outdoorsy stuff but also enjoys his PS2. He's learning to play guitar and sings beautifully but hates me saying that! They are from my previous marriage. Poppy is 5 - she is a free spirit and should be running down hills with the wind blowing in her hair like those little girls at the beginning of Little House on the Prairie! She comes to my drama classes and goes to ballet and has just started piano lessons. She draws and paints constantly and writes stories all the time, she takes good photographs too!

I am very sadly obsessed with my health and fitness. I was a professional dancer. I performed musical theatre and have been in Cats, Starlight Express and Chicago. Sounds amazing but really is just hard, painful work. Now I tutor as a freelance artist. I work with kids that no one else wants to work with. They are fantastic and I love my work. I work mostly in education and community i.e. youth services, probation etc. I also have a little theatre company for kids and give voice coaching privately. I won't be able to work for myself when we first get to NZ so I'll have to find employment. This frightens me to death because I am crap at working for other people, I always get sacked because I'm not very good at doing what I'm told. Oh my physio used to be one of the physios for the All Blacks! His name is Owen Robinson, he's South African as wide as he is tall and he makes me cry a lot but he keeps me up and moving and able to do all the stuff I do. What will I do without him!!! Recommendations please!

Gary works for his uncle's demolition firm. He does their method statements, estimates, contracts, health and safety and the like. He has a degree in Humanities but no experience using it. He was previously a hairdresser for 14 years, specialising in afro hair, loads of points but can't claim them because it hasn't been his main job in the last 12 months!!! Did my ead in that one! He plays golf and football, watches all sport and I'm sure will be at the rugby. We;re dead chuffed we're going to be in the right time zone for the Olympics next year but sad we'll miss 2012 London He is learning to play sax and is really rather good.

We have two dogs we're bringing with us. Daisy May, Old English Sheepdog, Hugo Bear, 12 stone Newfoundland. They're staying with a friend for the first month whilst we do our whistle stop tour. THANK GOD!

We don't know where we're going (except taffys and WG's and Fingerscrossed and Nick and Jackys and Red Alligators) and we don't know what we're going to do but we'll end up somewhere doing something.

Giz a job someone!

Oh I'm gonna be Taffys star radio presenter like a tree-hugging Annie Nightingale!! Legend!

That's us in a nutshell. I'm trying to get Gaz to log a few posts so that you can get to know him a little too.
