Ours are coming over on the same flight as us. We have a breeder friend just outside of Auckland who is going to have them for the first month whilst we go off touring and find somewhere to get ourselves settled down. They had to come with us as we really didn't think it was fair to lump the bear on anyone or to leave anyone else with the responsibility of running them to the vets every few days for all the flippin tests that have to be done in the last 30 days!
If you ring DEFRA they will give you the telephone no. of the vet that manage the immigration work for your area. Then when you ring them they will check their database and give you the vets who are registered to do the work. Our managing vet is in Lincoln and we live in Notts, thankfully our preferred vet up the road was registered but they aren't particularly knowledgable about NZ, it's been a learning process for both of us!
