Is the main issue that they're filling up the forum, and don't get much/any discussion? If so, perhaps they should be placed outside the forum. However, I don't think that negative/positive-ness should be a factor in deciding which articles get posted in the forum.

I suppose I'll vote in favor of a special "News" category somewhere, but it's not a big issue for me.

(PS: Now I see I'm not the first to post, so my queries above are mostly answered. I haven't goten used to this new forum setup and the break between the initial post and responses.)
