Excited
I am excited for you Dawn. Hope you have somewhere to go to when you land as you will be exhausted. Looks like our tea and biscuits are a must, won't make any plans till you are here because you will not be upto it.
You would be very surprised at how accomodating Kiwis are with dogs and I know there is a dog boarder round here.
It will be here quicker than you think so I would be ruthless with your stuff, go to charity shops and have a car boot.
I am still sorting things out here and have been in the country for 2 weeks, you will be amazed at what you take for granted in the UK. Suppose it isn't going to be as much of a problem if your travelling around.
It is cooler in the mornings but the sun is always shining by mid morning, I haven't longed for central heating yet, so don't get too stressed about the lack of it in houses. Just put more layers on, says me in bed with dressing gown, duvet and blanket.
I can honestly say Dawn, I love it here and I live in a really grotty flat. I am moving so that is something to look forward to. The sun is always shining, the Kiwis have a positive attiitude, the scenery is lovely I just miss a decent cup of tea. Are you allowed to bring tea bags with you?
I wish you a good trip and hope to see you soon.
