Dawn if you are bringing a container, bring absolutely everything with you, also if you shipping company tells you that you can't bring something due to biosecurity risks, check with biosecurity themselves - I gave a way hundres of pounds of seasoned timber (for wood turning) because the shippers told me I couldn't bring it, I could have done if I had paid for it to be fumigated (a fraction of the value of the wood). They also told me I couldn't bring all my spice jars with me (utter bollocks)
So if it is of value, check yourself that you can bring it.

TVs work fine here, but if you have an old vcr bring it just in case as if your tv won't work (picture will be fine, sound won't) if you use it via the video it will be fine

Our TV works fine here, we just had to change the settings to European. Picture wuality if crap, but can't blame that on the TV, just living in a marginal reception area that is why.

The only thing we brought that we found was a waste of time (and effort to clean it) was the electric lawnmower - we bought a 10 acre place, it about as useful as a chocolate fireguard.
