With all this horse-riding discussion, I'm curious: what sort of saddles do Kiwis tend to use when trail riding - English or Western?
Dawn - I don't know if you'd want me to be wingman (but thanks for the confidence). It's been a long time since I've been on a horse, and I had precious little experience then. A walking horse is good. Trotting and cantering are another thing altogether.
